Welcome to AR Charlotte - After many months, I still feel like a newbie here. My comment would be "it's worth the investment and you'll love it" and my advice would be read more blog posts than you write at first - it'll help you get your feet wet, get to know the group descriptions and even visit Brad Andersohn blog, it's a GREAT way to get started, I wish I would have found it sooner.
